candidates, describing the organization and detailing the initiation
process and important dates. Look for information via email and snail
mail regarding this event. All initiate forms will be due by October 7.

- Chi Epsilon
members will be available to tutor any CEE student. Topics
for tutoring include Statics, Deforms, Measurements, and most 2000-3000
level courses applicable to the civil engineering curriculum. Tutors will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To make an appointment, please contact the tutoring coordinator.

- Service Project

- Time TBA, Meet on the Drillfield side of Patton
- All candidates are required to participate in a service project. Past examples of this
project include Adopt-a-Spot, where we clean up a local stretch of
road. Typically, we all go get lunch afterwards as a social event.

- Between Monday and Wednesday of this week, candidates will be required to wear business attire and their XE
nametag so that current members and faculty can meet and congratulate you on your achievements.

- This year, Chi Epsilon will be having its annual member and initiate social in conjunction with the Fall CEE Career Fair. Meet your fellow members and prospective employers alike for an evening of food and fellowship. This event will be co-hosted with the VT ASCE chapter.
- Senior Composite Portraits
- November 10-11, 2009
- Time and Location TBA
- Chi Epsilon candidates traditionally staff this event as a way of giving back to the
department. Candidates help administer the photo sesions that go into making the annual graduating senior composite portrait. Each candidate will be required to sign up for a
time slot during which to volunteer.

- Towards the end
of the semester, a ceremony is conducted to induct all candidates who
have successfully completed the requirements for membership.
